June 22-23 To build the home for insects!
In this class, we will study about how to make a home for insects and where insects live. Students will use the resources from nature and build the environment that fits insects. The purpose is to let kids know what environment the insects live in, and where they live.
First Day - June 22
Today, we will talk about how to use the material we used in our lives to make the home for insects, on a plate, a flower is blooming, a ladybug active on the leaf, Butterfly is also lured by the flower. What does the amazing picture made from?
Flower made of orange skin, it will like the normal flower bloom and wither. The ladybug is made of a bottle cap. The butterfly is made of a mask, it is just like the normal butterfly with a vivid antennae.
We will provide all the plastic leaves, the branch needs to collect in the park by kids. Collect soil is not allowed, so we will provide bags of sands to replace the soil
Second Day - June 23
For the second day we will focus more on natural resources, use the rock, wood from the wild to build the home of insects on a board. We will provide flowers today!
In the picture, rocks build a stage and flowers are blooming from the rock, showing their power to survive in difficult environments. the place where flower, rock, and branch connected provide the perfect environment for insects to hide.
Timeline:
2 pm. - class start
2 pm to 2:30 pm - Mr. Ant talks about nature home of insects
2:30 pm to 2:40 pm - talk about the product and how to make this
2:40 pm to 3:30 pm - make the product
3:30 pm to 3:35 pm - take photos together
3:35 pm to 3:55 pm - take vote
3:55 pm to 4:00 pm - give the prize, end the class
Prepare!
Before the class, Mr. Ant will show some interesting insects with their environment, kids can learn what kinds of environments can fit the insect.
Vote!
At the end of the class, parents will vote for the best product, and the top three can get a secret prize, but everyone can get a ticket.
